About Sean A. Marvin
Attorney Sean A. Marvin has nearly a decade of experience working on behalf of service members.
Mr. Marvin previously served on Active Duty in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, and is currently a Major in the Army Reserve. While on Active Duty, he worked as a legal aid attorney for soldiers, advised military commanders, and both prosecuted and defended soldiers in courts-martial and separation hearings. Marvin was stationed in Germany and Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and also served on a one-year deployment to Afghanistan, where he presented cases to the Detainee Review Board, and later served as an advisor to Afghan prosecutors.
Since leaving Active Duty, Marvin has continued to work on behalf of service members, including as Legal Director of a veterans organization that fights companies that defraud veterans. He has also defended service members in various military and civilian proceedings.
Marvin received his B.A. from Indiana University, and his J.D. from Temple University. He is admitted to practice law in Virginia and Maryland. His military awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and NATO Medal.
